Scoot and Newts Premium Dried Catnip Flowers are a unique product for the cat with discriminating tastes. First we grow a special variety of Nepeta Cataria, catnip. The plants are organically grown here on Scooter’s catnip plantation in Central Pennsylvania. They are fertilized with natural Alaskan fish emulsion and enjoy the sun and rain of the temperate climate here in Central Pennsylvania. The flowers first start to form in the middle of June and start to open towards the end of June. As soon as they open, they are picked , dried and bagged and are ready for your kitty’s playtime or as a garnish over their food. Every kitty is different. Some will climb the walls to get these flowers, others are more laid back and there are even a few kitties that show little interest but that is unusual.
This year we offer a number of ways to get your good kitty these highly sought after flowers. The are available in a regular sized bag which contains roughly seven grams ( 1/4 of an ounce) of dried flowers. A large bag which contains roughly 14 grams( 1/2 of an ounce) . They also come in a filled glass bottled grinder with plastic top grinder which contains roughly 7 grams ( 1/4 of an ounce) . You can purchase refills for the grinder regular or large.  If you aren’t sure try the small size but we are confident that you will be back. You may also occasionally find a few small black specks. They are catnip seeds.
